To use TrueMoney eWallet, you need to be at least 18 years old and have a valid Malaysian mobile number.

2. Account Management
Let’s get started with these easy and exciting steps:
  1. Grab the App: Download TrueMoney app from Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
  2. Get Verified: Enter your Malaysian phone number to receive a one-time password (OTP).
  3. Enter OTP: Check your SMS for the OTP and input it. Didn’t get it? No worries! Just click “Resend Code” and we’ll send it again.
  4. Set Your PIN: Provide your details, create a 6-digit PIN, and confirm it.
  5. Referral Perks: If you have a referral code, enter it now or skip this step if you don’t.
  6. Enable Features: Allow the app to access your location and activate Touch ID or Face ID for a super smooth login. Just tap “Enable Touch ID” and “Enable Face Verification” on your device.

Ready to rock on a new device? Follow these steps for a smooth login experience: 

  1. Open Up the TrueMoney eWallet App and get excited for a seamless transition!
  2. Tap In your registered phone number on the welcome screen.
  3. Check your messages for an OTP code and enter it to verify your phone number. That’s your golden ticket!
  4. Input Your 6-Digit PIN and voilà—you’re in!

Pro Tip: Keep your OTP and PIN safe and sound. Sharing them could put your account at risk. Stay secure!

Each phone number can only link to a single TrueMoney eWallet account to keep your account super safe and sound from any sneaky fraud.

If you want to switch to a different number, please contact our friendly Customer Loyalty Team, and we’ll get you sorted!

Locked out or forgot your PIN? No worries! Just follow these quick steps:
  1. Open your TrueMoney eWallet App.
  2. Hit “Reset PIN.” You’ll be directed to the “Let’s Find Your Account” screen.
  3. Input your registered name and birthdate. Make sure these match your account details!
  4. Enter the OTP code sent to your mobile to verify your number.
  5. Set a new 6-digit PIN and tap “Confirm.”
  6. Success! You’ll land back on the TrueMoney eWallet home screen.
Heads up: Keep your OTP and PIN private to protect your account!
  • Your account will be marked as ‘Dormant’ if it hasn’t seen any action—like transactions or logins—for 365 days straight.
  • If your eWallet balance stays untouched for five years, it will be transferred to the Registrar of Unclaimed Money.
  • If you wish to re-active your TrueMoney account, you may need to log in or reach out to our friendly Customer Loyalty Team if you have any question.

Your remaining balance will be returned to you after just 30 business days. To get this process rolling, make sure you confirm the termination with our Customer Loyalty Team.
3. Account Verification
eKYC isn’t required, but completing it unlocks the full potential of TrueMoney eWallet. Without it, your wallet limit is capped at RM200. To enjoy all our services and higher limits, we recommend completing eKYC!

4. Reload

Yes, you can! Follow these simple steps for a seamless reload experience:

  1. Open your TrueMoney eWallet App and get ready to power up your wallet!
  2. Hit the “Reload” button and enter the amount you want to load up
  3. Choose your favorite payment method—Credit/Debit Card or Online Banking.
  4. You’ll be whisked away to our secure payment gateway to finalize the transaction.
  5. Fill in the required details and watch your balance soar!
  6. Voilà! Your TrueMoney eWallet is now recharged and ready to go.

Yes. Other than Credit/Debit and Online banking, user may opt to reload our app using cash!

  1. Hit Up our Participating Store: Find any of our participating store that’s ready to supercharge your TrueMoney eWallet with cash reloading magic here.
  2. Share the Good Stuff: Hand over your mobile number (the one you used to sign up for TrueMoney eWallet) and tell the cashier how much cash you want to load up.
  3. Boom, You’re Done! Keep an eye out for a notification that lets you know your TrueMoney eWallet is now bursting with new funds!

You can reload as little as RM10 or go big with up to RM1,000 in a single transaction. 

But that’s not all—make the most of your day with a maximum daily reload limit of RM1,000 and enjoy up to RM5,000 every month.

Cash Reload:

  • Per Transaction Cap: RM1,000
  • Daily Reload Cap: RM1,000
  • Monthly Reload Cap: RM5,000

Heads Up: Cash reload limitations are based on your account wallet size.

5. P2P / eWallet to eWallet Transfer
  1. Open your TrueMoney eWallet app to get started!
  2. Hit “Transfer” and let the magic begin! 
  3. Enter the recipient’s phone number—make sure it’s spot on!
  4. Add the amount and any notes you want to include. Then, tap “Continue”.
  5. Double-check the details and hit that “Confirm” button.
  6. Input your 6-digit PIN and submit to complete the transfer!

Note: This transfer is exclusively for TrueMoney Malaysia eWallet to eWallet transactions and is not available for other eWallets, eWallet-to-bank, or transfers to other platforms.

9. Account Security
No, because jailbroken devices will compromise the security of TrueMoney eWallet app which may cause your personal data to be stolen by unauthorized parties.

Boost Your Account’s Security with These Essential Tips:

  1. Do not share your password and one-time password (OTP).
    Your password and one-time password (OTP) are the first line of defence against potential fraudsters. Never share your password and one-time password (OTP) with anyone under any circumstances. 
  2. Create strong passwords and update them regularly.
    Use a unique password that’s hard to guess, including a mix of lower and upper case letters, numbers, and special characters. Do not use sensitive personal information such as date of birth, phone number, or IC numbers as your password.
  3. Change your password and TrueMoney PIN regularly.
    Do not reuse your old password or password associated with other accounts. The more often you change your passwords, the safer you will be in the long run. Keeping your passwords updated regularly improves your online security.
  4. Do not install apps from unknown sources.
    Download only the TrueMoney app from Google Play or the Apple App Store to ensure your security.
  5. Avoid the Trap of Suspicious Messages!
    Scammers pretend to be reputable companies, friends, or acquaintances in a fake message containing a link to a phishing website. Do not open suspicious text, pop-up windows, or click on links or attachments in emails, just delete them.
  6. Dodge Public Wi-Fi for Financial Transactions!
    Public Wi-Fi might be tempting, but it’s a hotspot for hackers. Protect your info by sticking to secure connections.
  7. Guard Your Sensitive Info Like a Treasure!
    Your TrueMoney details are precious. Remember, TrueMoney will never ask for your password, SMS OTP, TrueMoney PIN, or credit card info. Keep it safe!
  8. Do not share sensitive information with others.
    Please do not share sensitive information associated with your TrueMoney account with anyone. IMPORTANT: TrueMoney will never ask for your password, SMS OTPs, TrueMoney PIN, and credit card details.
  9. Spot Phishing Attempts Like a Pro!
    Phishing attempts can sneak in through emails, messages, or calls. They may look legit at first glance, asking you to verify a transaction or review a payment. Be vigilant and look for signs that scream “phishing” to avoid falling victim.

Scammers are sneaky! They use emails, texts, or phone calls to trick you into giving up your personal info—like passwords, personal details, or financial secrets. If they succeed, they could break into your email, bank, or financial accounts. Scary, right? With thousands of phishing attacks happening every day, it’s important to stay alert. Even though scammers are always coming up with new tricks, there are some clear signs to watch out for. They might pretend to be from a company you trust, like your bank, a well-known business, a government agency, or an online store. These messages often tell a story to get you to click on a link or open an attachment. 

Here are some common tricks they use:

  • Claim that they have noticed suspicious activity or login attempts to your account.
  • Claim that there’s a problem with your account or your payment information.
  • Offer an attractive discount voucher by confirming your personal information.
  • Claim that you have uncleared summoned by local authorities.
  • Claim that you are eligible to win a prize.
  • Want you to click on an email or text message link to make a payment.
  • Claim that you have pending unclaimed funds to be transferred to you.

If you believe your payment details have been compromised, please contact your bank immediately to block your credit or debit card.

If you have shared your TrueMoney app login credentials or suspect unauthorised activities or unauthorised transactions from your account, please reset the password and TrueMoney PIN and report to us.
